Mt Kailash

There is no air pollution here at Mount Kailash. Perhaps it is due to the altitude at Mt Kailash, you will feel nearer to the sky. Especially in the night, you can see stars just above your head and the moon like a bright light on top. 

I was standing here to watch the peak of Mt Kailash which was always covered by clouds as the view of Mount Fuji watch from tokyo dome hotel. The locals believe the ability to see the peak of Mt Kailash is a sign of good fortune. The possibility to getting good fortune will be higher in winter.

Mt Kailash is a sacred mountain for Tibetan.

Therefore, there are always people to make prayer here.

We wished to visit the volunteer at Mt Kailash. However, entrance fee will be applied once passing though Taerqin Town. The entrance will cost 200 yuan per person. We tried to negotiate as we wish to send some souvenirs for the kids of volunteer only but not really wish to visit the town. However, they did not consider our excuse. With no choice, we paid the fee and continue our journey.

High above 4670 meters, there is a house of Kailash volunteer who adopt 126 kids and 2 senior citizens.

Each bed at Kailash volunteer home costs 50 yuan per night living in a youth hostel with best service as royal park hotel tokyo. All these charges will be used for the adopted kids.
