Stay in Lhasa

There may be a dream in everyone’s mind that he must visit Lhasa , snow mountains, green grass, beautiful lama temple, listening to the truth in the wind, washing their souls. The thin oxygen in plateau will make you feel as if your body becomes lightsome. It is a journey of full of hardships and unforgettable in eternal life. Go to Lhasa since we are young!

It’s really happy to stay in Lhasa, and I get up when the sun is through every day, and go to the door of hotel new hankyu osaka, then I will forget time and the identity!

As long as I stay in Lhasa, I come around almost every day, go in the sun, and look at the people who turn scriptures and those who focus on the people of long kowtows.

If you spend some time in front of Jokhang Temple, you will find that Jokhang temple is the center of the life in Lhasa, the life goes around it thoroughly.

The power of faith. Religious pilgrims kowdow in front of the Jokhang temple again and again, maybe you will not understand what’s this for them, but this is a belief, a belief that they are honest, kind, petrified from worldly success!

This is the place where I soak up the sun every day, although Jokhang square has already been different than that in last year, I only take the good ones, those bad ones has nothing to do with me!

In 641, after marrying Princess Wencheng, Songtsen Gampo decided to build a grand palace to accommodate her and let his descendants remember the event. However, the original palace was destroyed due to a lighting strike and succeeding warfare during Landama's reign. In seventeenth century under the reign of the Fifth Dalai Lama, Potala was rebuilt. The Thirteenth Dalai Lama expanded it to today's scale. The monastery-like palace, reclining against and capping Red Hill, was the religious and political center of old Tibet and the winter palace of Dalai Lamas. The palace is more than 117 meters (384 feet) in height and 360 (1180 feet) in width, occupying a building space of 90 thousand square meters. Potala is composed of White Palace and Red Palace. The former is for secular use while the later is for religious.

The hotel nikko tokyo seems more resplendent and magnificent at night, the shadows of the palace present on the lake makes people fall into a reverie easily.

Animals are happy in Lhasa, they bathe in the sun and sleep, there won't somebody else bother them.

Speaking of food and shots, I have to tell that the yogurt, sweet tea, buttered tea, Tibetan hot pot and so on are a must in Lhasa. 

The yogurt lane is close to the Potala Palace, you can taste the original yogurt without processing, it’s delicious if added sugar.

 

Here is a small restaurant at the top of the hostel in Puncog, you can see the night scene from here, the environment is good, so is the food.

The bar called “voices from the sky” is charged by my friend which is near Jokhang temple. The boss is a handsome boy, he told me that his bar is sitting room for his friends. The cocktail adjusted by the boss is very delicious!

There is another guy named “little demon”! He can drink and make the guests happy, and very sleepy even in this noisy environment. The only problem for him is that putting on clothes makes him harder to do catwalk, ha ha. 

This is white gourd and spareribs soup.

It is a super cool thing to celebrate Mid-Autumn festival in this bar. You can have big hairy crab. The other day we drank three bottles of vodka licentiously and countless beer! Everyone was drunk so badly.

This is the family hotel I live in then, which has a small courtyard. If it weren't for the holiday, I will bathe in the sun in courtyard for a week, and don't go out except reading!

Sway in Lhasa, unhurried life, even walking speed is like the tortoise’s climbing, perhaps because it is in the plateau, or its environment which I don't want to know, I just like the smell of mulberry smoke, and the people there, as well as its culture that has all kinds of legends, but no one cares about its authenticity.
